Activities + Lodging, Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara, also known as The American Riviera, has been home for the past 20 years. I moved when I was 20 and never looked back. With the mountains as a backdrop to the ocean, what’s not to love? The weather is amazing, the seasons are mild, you can hike or get in the ocean everyday and there is a ton to do!

Activities in Santa Barbara

My two favorite things to do in Santa Barbara are hike and go to the beach. Since my little one isn’t able to power up the mountain quite yet, we spend more days at the beach than on the trail. Now that he is riding a bike, we will soon be biking from Shoreline to the Bird Refuge. That said, there are so many fun things to do in Santa Barbara throughout the year. Hit up the Saturday Farmer’s Market, walk down Sterns Wharf, pop into Brophy’s for a beer or clam chowder, or just enjoy walking around the Funk Zone. Here is my hit list but for more avitivies or happenings check out Visit Santa Barbara here.

Resorts + Hotels

Resorts and hotels in the Santa Barbara area can get really expensive. While there are some cute little hotels tucked away down Cabrillo Blvd. here are some of my favorites that I have stayed at over the years, and a couple on my list to check out.
