Santa Barbara has no shortage of restaurants. I haven’t even scratched the surface on most of the new ones in town, but here are some of my staples when we head over the hill from Los Olivos, or from before we moved.
Shopping
I have been in the business of wholesale and retail for the past 20 years. I started working with Patagonia while I was in college then went onto work with their Creative Services division after I graduated. I then went on to work with a clothing start up, Stewart + Brown where I learned the ins and out of the apparel business. For the past 12 years I have been working Pierre Lafond and Wendy Foster. From management to marketing, I love the company and all of their store. Retail in Santa Barbara isn’t easy, anyone who has driven down State Street lately can see all the vacancies. I have tremendous respect those who have lasted, especially this year. Here are some of the great stores in the area.
