Birks Done Right
I have always had my own style and look, as most of us girls do. There are fads and trends with every season. Some I dabble in and others I steer very clear of, especially with shoes. My two favirote brands - aside from the leather sandals I pick up from street vendors in Mexico - are The Office of Angela Scott and Birkenstocks.
Crocs for example are an absolute 100% NO in my book. Even if you are two years old, they are just not ok. However, one could argue the same about Birkenstocks. This is where I disagree. Since I was 15, I have been sporting Birkenstocks. In fact I still have my first pair and wear them all the time.
When worn the right way, Birkenstocks boast effortlessly cool and laid-back style. Perhaps that is why the company has been in business over 40 years. I’ll admit it’s not a look for everyone, but neither are wedge sneakers!
Classic and cool, I now need to add a black pair to my collection…and clogs!
