Baja, Las Gaviotas

Just South of the boarder is a little alcove called Las Gaviotas. I have been hearing about this little community for years, but last summer we packed up our car with surf board and bathing suits and headed on down. Nestled between Rosarito and Ensanada, it was really easy to get to, was completely gated and private, and was the perfect 4 day escape.

We rented a great house facing the ocean with views for days both north and south, the image above was from our deck! The private beach was full of families all relaxing in the sun and surfing, there was a community pool and a taco cart with the best fish tacos! We got fresh coconuts every morning, took long walks along the cobblestone paths, went swimming in the sea, and chilled in the hot tub! What else could we want?

We popped down the Puerto Nuevo for lobster and a little shopping! Waylon and I ended up with sandals, and I picked up a really pretty wool cape!
