Noosa

It took me all of 10 seconds to fall in love with Noosa. Surrounded by water and a national forest made me feel right at home. The sun shining didn’t hurt either! The water was warm, the beach was big, there were little ankle slapper waves perfect for a fair weather surfer like me…did I mention he whole area is surrounded by sounds…and not just the parrots that started at 4am.

We had no plan once we headed north from Byron so we just waited until we got to Noosa to find a place to stay. After hitting the beach and driving around town, we stumbled upon a little hotel - with a kitchen and pool - and decided to post up for 4 nights. It was nothing fancy, but it was perfect for us. Afterall, we were going to be at the beach the whole time.

With a European vibe, the outdoor and openair dining was awesome. We were so spoiled with oysters and rosé, fresh juice bars, poolside BBQ’s, cold beers on the beach and gelato…we were one happy family.

I am the one in the family that always wants an outdoor adventure, so I drug the boys on a hike to find fairy pools. It was so pretty and we got to see a lot of the coast and private beaches you can’t access by a car.

What’s not to love about this cool little town?
