Byron Bay

If we were going to be on the Gold Coast, I knew I wanted to visit Byron Bay. While there was flooding and SO MUCH rain from the summer storms, we still managed to get some surf time, have fun dinners, and explore the hinterland for an afternoon.

I wish I would have gone to Byron 10 years ago. I’m not going to lie, it was a bit more commercial and less “quaint beach town” than I was expecting, but that happens to pretty much any little gem over time. If anyone went to Sayulita 15 years ago you know what I’m talking about.

Our first stop was The Farm, which was pretty awesome!

Our little rental on Tallow Beach. We made friends with

A little rainy day beach afternoon!

Did a little shopping at Marr-Kett…I may have brought back some textiles…

Then we hit up Pampa…which I wanted to move into…

We made it to The Lighthouse to check it all out…

It was a quick few days in Byron but we got the lay of the land, got to check out Bangalow and the hinterland, then blitzed north to Noosa! Of course the sun came out just as we were heading north again…but we will be back!
