PRESERVE & RESTORE

This past weekend a dream became a reality. I co-hosted the first Preserve & Restore Retreat in Los Alamos at Elder Flat Farm. It was a day of connection, getting our hands dirty, eating amazing food, and having a moment of calm and clarity through manifestation.

For the past few years, I have wanted to create an experience to have women come together to learn from each other, and thankfully, I was able to partner with some extraordinary women to make it happen.

Carla Malloy, owner of Elder Flat Farm happens to be one of my closest friends and was all in for hosting. Jessie De Lowe, a manifestation coach was all in and she was able to introduce us to Andi Georgiana from Apeel Sciences. Together, we made it happen!

Carla started the day by discussing canning, fermenting, and pickling. She is a master preserver and with her knowledge, guests created their then created their own veggie quick pickle to take home. Andi discussed Apeel and how different coating on veggies makes a difference during the process.

Following our first class, Everyone sat down for a beautiful lunch of my favorite Kale Salad, Butternut Squash Soup from Plenty on Bell, and Oat Bakery bread with avocados from Apeel

After our nourishing meal, we made our way to the wall tent where Jessie took the group through a guided manifestation session. It was a wonderful experience and everyone should sign up for her Dream Catcher Course!

With some peace and enlightenment, we then made our way to the barn to get crafty! I lead the group with two creative projects, naturally dyed silk bandanas, and leather-wrapped vases with a dried flower arrangement. Of course Gravy, the horse, was the star of the show.

My heart is full and I am so grateful for everyone who signed up, made the effort to travel the distance to attend such a great retreat!

xx, Emily
