Flower Frenzy

I am the kind of person who loves to have fresh flowers in the house all the time. Because my veggie garden has been sub-par the past few seasons, after chatting with my girlfriend who owns and runs Elder Flat Farm, I decided to be more selective with the veggies I know I can grow, and plant more herbs and flowers. It was a success!

I started with some smalls starts of Cosmos and Zinnia, threw down some wildflower seeds (which are now starting to bloom), and spread out Minted Merigold. It’s been really pretty to see all of these flowers bloom next to my basil, sage, and other kitchen herbs.

The biggest treat was going to Carla’s to cut flowers from her farm. There were rows and rows, sunflowers taller than me in several varieties, and we had a great time with the kids picking the most beautiful bouquets.

Here is a little photo dump of some fresh flowers throughout the summer that should make people smile, because if you don’t like flowers, we can’t be friends.

Also, if you want a flower delivery, contact Elder Flat Farm (pick up is weekly at our tasting room!)
