Stellenbosch + Franschhoek

Lets just say that Stellenbosch and Franschhoek is beautiful! I felt like I was looking at a painting. One of my girlfriend’s Karen Bezuidenhout’s (who’s from Stellenbosch) paintings actually. The colors that swept the autumn landscape were so rich, pure, and real. I felt like I was in a dream...and it had nothing to do with our afternoon wine tasting, it was Africa!

We popped into The Delaire Graff Estate in Stellenbosch which was pretty spectacular. Simply put, it's one of the most beautiful hotels and wineries I have ever seen, eat your heart out Napa.  I feel like a broken record, however...I am 100% spoiled to have stayed at and visit some of the finest hotels and lodges in South Africa (thank you World Odyssey!)

I can ramble on and on about the style, the beauty, the wine, the rooms (oh my), and the lunch...but the photos will pretty much sum it up.

The town of Stellenbosch was so pretty!

Franschhoek was one of the coolest little towns I have visited. The food was delish and the white buildings and design of everything - including their confection packaging - was inspiring!
